Heather Doerksen flew onto the silver screen in the mega monster movie Pacific Rim, produced by Warner Brothers & Legendary Pictures and directed by the man behind The Shape of Water, Academy Award winner, Guillermo del Toro. 

Heather has already had a dynamic career, always making sure to show off her best feature: her versatility. She has appeared in an array of feature films, such as Tim Burton's Big Eyes and Joss Whedon’s The Cabin in the Woods;as well as Marmaduke alongside William H Macy; The Day the Earth Stood Still opposite Kathy Bates; The Client List beside Jennifer Love Hewitt; and DreamWorks’ The Uninvited. She has shown up on the small screen too, playing recurring roles on the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina; CW’s Smallville; and on SyFy's Battlestar Galactica.

She continues to maintain a strong connection to the independent film world, acting in Indie Jonesing (Best International Feature at the Indie Spirit Film Festival); Ambrosia; The Circle; and the Leo Award-winning fable Alchemy and Other Imperfections for which she also received a Leo Award nomination for Best Performance.

Heather also has a flourishing voice career, lending her voice to numerous advertising campaigns, as well as cartoon series LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles as the iconic Princess Leia; Dreamworks’ Dinotrux (which she received a Leo-award nomination for); Death Note; and the animated Barbie movies.

Initially studying Science, Heather changed her major to Theatre, receiving a BFA from Simon Fraser University, where she appeared on stage in Antigone; The Cherry Orchard; Big Love; and Hedda Gabler. Upon graduation, she formed a company called Genus Theatre with five of her school colleagues, and co-wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the first four Genus shows, mixing live theatre with film, and setting the stage for her career.
